Albuquerque

The Gridiron Football – Albuquerque program offers coed youth 5v5 flag football leagues for ages 5 to 17, as well as an open division for adults. Here are some details about the program and how to register:

– The program is held at Mariposa Basin Park, a beautiful park with four fields and plenty of parking.
– The spring season will start on March 2nd and end on April 27th with a championship bracket. The early bird registration fee is $110 until January 26th, then it goes up to $150 until February 15th, and then $175 after that. – The program provides Gridiron branded jerseys and shorts, as well as flag belts. Players need to bring their own cleats, water bottles, and soft shell helmets (required).
– The program divides players into age-based divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 15U, and 17U. Each division plays 7 games plus a championship bracket, with games lasting 40 minutes (two 20-minute halves). Games are scheduled on Saturdays between 8 am and 4 pm.
– The program relies on volunteer coaches who receive a discount for their child’s registration. Coaches can submit friend requests during registration to help form teams. Coaches also decide on the practice times and locations, typically 2-3 times per week.

The New Mexico Young America Sports (NMYAFL) is a nonprofit organization that offers both flag and tackle football programs for boys and girls ages 6 to 14. Here are some of the highlights of their flag football program:

– NMYAFL offers flag football in the fall and spring seasons. The fall season runs from August to November, and the spring season runs from March to May.
– NMYAFL has four flag football divisions based on age: 6U, 8U, 11U, and 13U. Each division has different rules and regulations to ensure fair and safe play.
– NMYAFL provides all the equipment needed for flag football, including jerseys, flags, belts, and mouthpieces. Players only need to bring their own cleats and water bottles.

Youth Football Clinic: If you are between 7 and 10 years old and want to learn the basics of football in a fun and safe environment, you can join the Youth Football Clinic offered by the Desert Recreation District. This clinic will teach you the fundamentals of passing, catching, running, blocking, and tackling, as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. The clinic is held on Saturdays from March 6th to March 27th at Mecca Community Park. The registration fee is $40 per participant, which includes a t-shirt and a certificate. i9 Sports® Youth Sports Programs at North Domingo Baca Park in Albuquerque NE Heights offers flag football leagues for kids ages 3-14, with age-appropriate instruction and a focus on sportsmanship and teamwork. The flag football season starts in March and runs for eight weeks, with games on Saturdays. The registration fee is $139 per player, which includes a reversible jersey, flag belt, and participation award. Belen

The Belen Parks and Recreation Department  flag football league is open to children aged 6 to 12, and the registration deadline has been extended to September 22nd. The cost per child is only $70, which includes a jersey, flags, and a mouthpiece. The games will be played at the Belen Sports Complex on Saturdays, starting from October 2nd.

To enroll your child in the flag football league, you need to contact the Belen Recreation Center at 505-966-2700. Statewide Flag Football Programs

The New Mexico Charter School Athletic Association (NMCSAA) is an organization that provides athletic opportunities for charter school students in grades 6-12. The NMCSAA offers flag football leagues for boys and girls in middle school and junior varsity levels.

The flag football season runs from September to November, with games played on Saturdays at various locations across the state. The registration fee is $150 per team, which includes referees, field rental, and insurance. The NMCSAA also organizes other sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, and cross country. The New Mexico Pop Warner is a youth sports organization that offers flag football programs for boys and girls ages 5-16. Pop Warner flag football is a great way to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and have fun with your friends.

The New Mexico Pop Warner website has all the information you need to register for flag football, find a league near you, and get involved in the community.

– You can register for flag football online or by mail. The registration fee is $150 per player, which includes a jersey, flags, insurance, and administrative costs. The registration deadline is August 1st.

The Northern New Mexico Children’s Sports League organization offers various sports programs for children of different ages and skill levels, including flag football, basketball, soccer, cheerleading and dance.

Flag football is a great sport for kids who want to learn the basics of football without the physical contact and risk of injury. It is also a fun way to develop teamwork, coordination, agility and sportsmanship. The Northern New Mexico Children’s Sports League offers flag football programs for boys and girls from kindergarten to eighth grade. The programs are divided into four divisions: K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-5th grade and 6th-8th grade.

The registration for the flag football season usually opens in July and closes in August. – Southwest’s Finest offers flag football leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments and events for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels and operates in several cities and towns across New Mexico, including Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, Socorro, Las Cruces and more. Registration for the spring season of Southwest’s Finest flag football leagues is open until February 28th. The cost is $125 per player, which includes a reversible NFL FLAG jersey, flag belt, insurance and eight games. The season runs from March to May, with games on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the location. The leagues are divided by age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. There are also co-ed and girls-only divisions available.

In addition to the leagues, Southwest’s Finest also organizes flag football camps and clinics throughout the year. These are designed to teach the fundamentals of the game, improve skills and techniques, and promote sportsmanship and teamwork. The camps and clinics are led by experienced coaches and staff who are passionate about flag football and youth development.

– The Northern New Mexico Children’s Sports League organization offers flag football programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 14 in various locations across the state.

The league has four divisions based on age and skill level: Pee Wee (5-6 years old), Rookie (7-8 years old), Junior (9-10 years old), and Senior (11-14 years old). Each division has its own rules, field size, and game duration. The league follows the NFL Flag Football rules, which you can find on their website.

The league operates in two seasons: spring and fall. The spring season runs from March to May, and the fall season runs from September to November. Each season consists of eight games, plus playoffs and championships for the Junior and Senior divisions. The games are played on Saturdays at various fields in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Alamos, Espanola, Taos, Las Vegas, and Raton.

The registration fee for each season is $95 per child, which includes a reversible NFL jersey, flag belt, mouth guard, insurance, and trophy.  The deadline for the spring season is February 15th, and the deadline for the fall season is August 15th. You can also register in person at one of their open houses, which are held at different locations throughout the year. The Northern New Mexico Children’s Sports League also partners with local schools and community organizations to provide flag football clinics and camps for kids. The New Mexico State University  Intramural Sports program offered by the Recreational Sports Department is open to all NMSU students, faculty, staff and B-Com students who have an AggieFit membership or are full-time students. You can sign up as an individual, a pair or a team for a variety of sports, such as flag football, basketball, badminton, kickball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, disc golf, racquetball, grass volleyball, dodgeball, softball and futsal.

Flag football is one of the most popular sports in the Intramural program and if you are interested in playing  in the Intramural program, you need to create an account on IMLeagues.com or use the mobile application. Gridiron Football League

The Gridiron Football League is the leader in non-tackle football programs for kids, ages 4 through 17. Gridiron Football offers flag football leagues, camps, clinics and tournaments in various locations across the state, from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Here is a summary of some of the opportunities available for you or your child to join the Gridiron Football community.

Flag Football Leagues

Gridiron Football runs seasonal flag football leagues for boys and girls of different age groups and skill levels. The leagues are divided into four divisions: Rookie (ages 4-6), Junior (ages 7-9), Senior (ages 10-12) and Elite (ages 13-17). The leagues follow the NFL Flag rules and use official NFL Flag belts and jerseys. The leagues are also affiliated with USA Football, the national governing body for youth and amateur football.

The leagues typically run for eight weeks, with one practice and one game per week. The games are played on Saturdays or Sundays, depending on the location. The registration fee varies by location, but it usually ranges from $125 to $175 per player. The fee includes a reversible NFL Flag jersey, a set of NFL Flag belts, a Gridiron Football t-shirt, a participation medal and a player insurance. The registration fee does not include shorts or cleats, which are required for all players.

The registration for the spring season usually opens in January and closes in March. The spring season runs from April to June. The registration for the fall season usually opens in July and closes in September. The fall season runs from October to December. Flag Football Camps

Gridiron Football also offers flag football camps for kids who want to learn or improve their skills in a fun and supportive environment. The camps are open to boys and girls of all ages and skill levels. The camps are led by experienced coaches who teach the fundamentals of flag football, such as passing, catching, running, blocking and defending. The camps also emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and character development.

The camps typically run for four days, from Monday to Thursday, for three hours each day. The camps are held during school breaks or holidays, such as spring break, summer break or winter break. The camp fee varies by location, but it usually ranges from $100 to $150 per player. The fee includes a Gridiron Football t-shirt, a participation medal and a player insurance. The camp fee does not include shorts or cleats, which are required for all players.

Flag Football Clinics

Gridiron Football also offers flag football clinics for kids who want to get extra training or coaching in specific aspects of flag football. The clinics are open to boys and girls of all ages and skill levels. The clinics are led by experienced coaches who focus on specific skills or topics, such as quarterbacking, receiving, rushing, defense or strategy. The clinics also provide feedback and tips to help the players improve their performance.

The clinics typically run for one day, for two hours. The clinics are held on weekdays or weekends, depending on the location and the topic. The clinic fee varies by location and topic, but it usually ranges from $25 to $50 per player. The fee includes a Gridiron Football t-shirt and a player insurance. The clinic fee does not include shorts or cleats, which are required for all players.

Flag Football Tournaments

Gridiron Football also offers flag football tournaments for teams who want to compete against other teams in a fun and challenging setting. The tournaments are open to boys and girls of different age groups and skill levels. The tournaments follow the NFL Flag rules and use official NFL Flag belts and jerseys. The tournaments are also sanctioned by USA Football and offer opportunities to qualify for regional or national championships.

The tournaments typically run for one or two days, depending on the number of teams and the format. The tournaments are held on weekends, usually once a month or once a quarter. The tournament fee varies by location and format, but it usually ranges from $200 to $400 per team. The fee includes a Gridiron Football t-shirt for each player, a trophy for the champion team and a player insurance. The tournament fee does not include shorts or cleats, which are required for all players.

Bradenton-Sarasota

If you are looking for flag football in the Bradenton-Sarasota area, you should check out the Premier Flag Football League. This is the official NFL Flag partner for co-ed, youth flag football in this region. Here are some of the details you need to know about this league:

– The league offers different divisions based on the age of the players, ranging from 5 to 17 years old. The divisions are determined by the player’s age as of September 1, 2023.
– The league follows a 6 v 6 format, where everyone on the team gets to play. There are no tryouts or cuts, and you can request to play with a friend or a coach of your choice (not guaranteed).
– The league provides each player with an official NFL team reversible jersey and black shorts. You can choose your preferred jersey size when you register online.
– The league plays its games on Friday nights at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch. The games are scheduled between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm, depending on the division.
– The league has a spring season that runs from March 15 to May 17, 2024. There are 7 regular season games plus playoff/consolation games for a total of 8 games per season. The champions of each division will receive a trophy.
– The league has a winter season that runs from January 10 to February 23, 2024. The format and rules are similar to the spring season, except that there are only 6 regular season games plus playoff/consolation games for a total of 7 games per season.
– The league has a rule book that outlines the game rules, safety guidelines, code of conduct, and other important information. You can find the rule book under the Rules and Info tab on the league website.
– The league has a registration fee of $150 per player for the spring season and $140 per player for the winter season. You can register online through the league website or in person at the Premier Sports Campus. The registration deadline for the spring season is February 18, 2024 and for the winter season is December 15, 2023.

Las Cruces

The youth sports programs offered by N Zone Sports of TexMex is an organization that provides organized youth sports leagues for boys and girls in Las Cruces, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. They offer youth soccer, flag football, youth basketball, and tee ball.

One of their most popular sports is flag football, which is a non-contact version of American football that teaches kids the fundamentals of the game, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Flag football is suitable for kids of all skill levels and ages, from 3 to 14 years old. N Zone Sports of TexMex has different divisions for different age groups, and they provide all the equipment and coaching needed.

Rio Rancho

In Rio Rancho, New Mexico, there are many opportunities to play flag football for people of all ages and skill levels. Whether you want to join a league, sign up for a tournament, or just play casually with your friends, you can find what you are looking for in Rio Rancho. Here are some of the options available for flag football enthusiasts in Rio Rancho:

Adult Sports: The City of Rio Rancho Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department offers various Adult Sports leagues and tournaments throughout the year, including flag football. If you don’t have a team, you can sign up for the free agent list and be picked up by an existing team or form your own. The Adult Sports program is a great way to meet new people, have fun, and compete in a friendly environment.

Summer Camp: If you have children between the ages of 5 to 12 who are interested in flag football or other sports, you can enroll them in the Summer Camp program offered by the City of Rio Rancho. The Summer Camp program is a safe and fun place where children can go during summer break from school, while having a fun experience and developing new friendships. The curriculum consists of traditional and non-traditional sports, cooperative games, arts and crafts, field trips, swimming, and other group activities. The Summer Camp program is a great way to keep your children active, engaged, and happy during the summer. Rio Rancho Flag Football Association (RRFFA): This is a non-profit organization that provides flag football opportunities for kids ages 4 to 14 in Rio Rancho and surrounding areas. The RRFFA runs two seasons per year, one in the spring and one in the fall, with games played on Saturdays at Rio Rancho High School. The RRFFA also hosts clinics, camps and tournaments throughout the year. The State Summer Games

The State Summer Games hosted by Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM) is open to athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages and abilities, as well as their unified partners (people without disabilities who play on the same team).

The State Summer Games will take place in Albuquerque from May 31 to June 2. The venue is the UNM Track and Field Stadium and the UNM Johnson Center. The sports offered are athletics, bocce, unified flag football, and unified volleyball. You can expect to see some exciting competitions, as well as enjoy the opening ceremony, the victory dance, and the Olympic village.

To register for the State Summer Games, you need to be part of a local delegation (a group of athletes and coaches) that belongs to one of the ten areas in New Mexico. Each area has its own registration deadline, ranging from July 10 to July 17. You also need to qualify for the state level by participating in an area summer games event, which are held in different locations and dates in April and May. Santo Domingo

The Santo Domingo Pueblo Flag Football League is a new league that was started by Gary Tenorio, a father and a volunteer who wanted to bring more opportunities for the youth of his community and surrounding areas. The league is affiliated with NFL Flag, which means that players will get official NFL jerseys, flags, and access to NFL resources. The league is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 17, and it offers different divisions based on age and skill level. The league aims to teach the fundamentals of flag football, as well as teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership. The league also promotes physical fitness, health, and wellness among the players and their families.

The registration for the spring season is now open until March 31st. The cost is $100 per player, which includes the jersey, flags, insurance, and referee fees. There are also financial assistance and payment plans available for those who qualify. The league will have a registration raffle, where the first 160 kids to register will have a chance to win a prize.

The games will be played on Saturdays at the Santo Domingo Pueblo Sports Complex, starting from April 16th to June 4th. The league will follow the NFL Flag Football Rules, which are designed to ensure safety and fun for all participants. The league will also have coaches training and certification, as well as background checks for all volunteers.

Santa Fe

The Northern New Mexico Children’s Football League (NNMCFL) is a youth sports organization that offers fall tackle, cheer, and flag football programs for children of all ages and skill levels. The NNMCFL’s mission is to provide the children of Santa Fe with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport of football, as well as the importance of discipline, self-motivation, and exercise. The NNMCFL also aims to provide a fun outlet for children wanting to become emotionally and physically healthier, and to foster strong relationships between high school coaches and future players.

The registration for fall tackle, cheer, and flag football is open until August 31st. The cost is $125 per player for tackle and cheer, and $75 per player for flag football. The season runs from September to November, with games on Saturdays and practices during the week.

Santa Fe Flag Football League (SFFFL) is the oldest and largest flag football league in New Mexico. It was founded in 1978 and has over 500 players in 32 teams across four divisions. The SFFFL runs two seasons per year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The spring season runs from March to June, and the fall season runs from September to December. The registration fee is $75 per player, and the games are played on Sundays at the MRC Soccer Complex. – The City of Santa Fe Recreation Division offers flag football clinics for children ages 5 to 12. The clinics are held on Saturdays in September and October at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center. The clinics are designed to introduce children to the basics of flag football, such as passing, catching, running and defense. – The Santa Fe Adult Flag Football Association (SFAFFA) is a new flag football organization that was launched in 2021. It is affiliated with the American Flag Football League (AFFL), which is the official governing body of flag football in the United States and hosts national and international tournaments. The SFAFFA plans to organize flag football leagues, tournaments and events for adults in Santa Fe and nearby areas. The SFAFFA is currently looking for players, teams, sponsors and volunteers to join its network. Alamogordo

One of the main flag football providers in Alamogordo is the Preps Youth Football League (PYFL), which is affiliated with the NFL Flag program. The PYFL offers flag football for kids aged 5 to 14, divided into four age divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-14. The PYFL operates in the fall season, from August to November, and plays games at the Griggs Sports Complex on Saturdays. The registration fee for the PYFL is $65 per player, which includes a jersey, flags, insurance and a participation award. The registration deadline for the 2022 season is July 31st. Another option for flag football in Alamogordo is the Alamogordo Parks and Recreation Department (APRD), which runs a youth flag football program for kids aged 7 to 12. The APRD flag football program is part of the New Mexico Recreation and Parks Association (NMRPA) league, which involves teams from other nearby towns such as Ruidoso, Tularosa and Cloudcroft.

The APRD flag football program runs in the spring season, from March to May, and plays games at various locations on Saturdays. The registration fee for the APRD flag football program is $40 per player, which includes a jersey and insurance. The registration deadline for the 2022 season is February 18th.

The Alamogordo Public Schools website at https://www.aps4kids.org/  offers flag football as an extracurricular activity at Chaparral Middle School, Mountain View Middle School and Desert Star Elementary School. The APS flag football programs are usually open to students in grades 6 to 8 and follow the same rules and regulations as the NMRPA league. The APS flag football programs typically run in the spring season as well, but the exact dates and costs may vary depending on the school.
