Here are some examples of the flag football programs offered by i9 Sports® in the Phoenix area:

Avondale/Goodyear Friendship Park: This program offers 5-on-5 flag football for kids ages 4 to 14. The season runs from January to March, with games on Saturdays. The registration fee is $159.99 per player.

Biltmore Arcadia Phoenix Biltmore Preparatory Academy: This program offers 6-on-6 flag football for kids ages 4 to 12. The season runs from January to March, with games on Saturdays. The registration fee is $169.99 per player.

– The Arizona Youth Sports (AZ Youth Sports) organization has flag football leagues for kids of all ages, from 5 to 14 years old. The leagues are divided into different age groups: U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15. The flag football season runs from March to May, and the games are played on Saturdays at various locations in the east valley. The registration fee is $125 per player, which includes a team jersey, flags and insurance. You can register online or by mail until February 28. If you register after that date, you will have to pay a $25 late fee.

If you want to join a flag football team, you can either sign up as an individual or as a group. If you sign up as an individual, you will be placed on a team based on your age and skill level. If you sign up as a group, you can request to play with your friends or classmates. However, there is no guarantee that you will be placed on the same team, as the teams are balanced by the league coordinators.

 

Gridiron Football is a youth sports organization that offers 5v5 and 7v7 flag football leagues, tournaments and camps for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels. The registration fee varies depending on the program, but it usually ranges from $100 to $150 per player. The fee includes a jersey, flag belt, mouth guard and insurance. The registration deadline is usually one month before the season starts, but you can also sign up for late registration or join a waiting list if the spots are full.

Gridiron Football also hosts national tournaments for elite teams that want to compete against the best in the country. – The Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) is a non-profit organization that offers flag football leagues for high school and junior high students, as well as community and school programs.

The CAA flag football leagues follow the rules and regulations of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), with some modifications. The games are played on a 100-yard field, with seven players on each side. The teams compete in divisions based on their skill level and geographic location. The top eight teams in each division advance to the state playoffs, which are held in October at ASU West.

The CAA also provides opportunities for community and school programs to join the flag football action. The CAA partners with local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, and city parks and recreation departments to offer flag football clinics, camps, tournaments, and leagues for youth of all ages and abilities. The CAA also supports school programs that want to start or expand their flag football offerings, by providing equipment, training, and scheduling assistance.

The CAA is always looking for new players, coaches, officials, and volunteers to join their flag football community.  State law requires that all coaches, referees and volunteers provide a current BACKGROUND CHECK which must be updated every 2 years.
 

-The AIA Flag Football 5A State Championship is a tournament that features 16 high school teams from different cities and towns across the state, such as Eastmark, Westview, Flagstaff, Campo Verde, Canyon View, Millennium, and more. The tournament runs from October 24 to November 4, and you can watch the live webcasts on NFHS Network.

The registration dates and costs vary depending on the league, community organization, or school program that you join. The 2023 champion was Campo Verde, who defeated Canyon View in a close final game. Next Level Flag Football is a youth flag football program that operates in more than 70 locations across the US, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. Next Level Flag Football is open to all participants from kindergarten through 8th grade, and it offers a unique opportunity to learn from and play with local high school, college and university coaches and players.

Next Level Flag Football has been running since 2010, when it started as a neighborhood game at Serra High School in San Mateo, California. Since then, it has grown to become one of the most popular flag football programs in the country, with thousands of kids enjoying the game every year. Next Level Flag Football focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork and fun. It also provides a safe and positive environment for kids to play and learn.

Next Level Flag Football has different site locations for boys and girls, depending on the availability of coaches and facilities. Some of the site locations are:

– The Arizona Sports League (ASL) offers adult flag football leagues across Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe and more. You can join as a free agent or bring your own team to compete in different skill levels.

One of the leagues that ASL runs is the Flag Football Thursday league in Mesa. This league plays at Quail Run Park from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The league is open to men and women aged 18 and older. The registration fee is $75 per player or $750 per team. The league runs for 8 weeks, plus playoffs. The next season starts on February 15th and ends on April 12th.

Arizona Flag Football Association (AFFA): This is the largest and most established flag football organization in Arizona. It offers leagues for men, women, coed, youth, and corporate teams. Tempe

If you are looking for a flag football program offered by the City of Tempe here is a summary of what you need to know:

– The program is open to boys and girls from kindergarten to 8th grade, of all skill levels.
– The program runs for eight weeks, one day per week, from March 18 to May 9, 2024.
– The first two weeks are dedicated to football camp, where participants learn the basics of offense, defense and special teams.
– The remaining six weeks are regular season games, where each team practices for 30 minutes and then plays a game for an hour, under field lights.

Core 5 Flag Football

If you want to play flag football in Arizona, you should check out Core 5 Flag Football, the premier youth NFL flag football league in the valley. Core 5 Flag Football offers programs for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels in Peoria and Anthem/North Phoenix.

You can register for the upcoming winter or spring season online at https://core5ff.com/register/. The registration fee includes an official NFL flag jersey, flags, and insurance. You can also join Core 5 camps to improve your skills and learn from experienced coaches. Core 5 Flag Football is a partner of NFL Flag and USA Football, and follows their rules and guidelines to ensure a fair and safe game for everyone.

Blue Chip NFL Flag Football

Blue Chip NFL Flag Football leagues are for boys and girls ages 4-17 who want to learn the sport of football without the risk of injury from tackle. You can choose from different co-ed divisions and age groups, and wear the official colors, logos, and uniforms of your favorite NFL team.

If you are looking for a more competitive level of flag football, you can also join the Blue Chip Youth Sports Travel Teams. These teams are for players who want to take their game to the next level and play against other teams in local, regional, and national tournaments. The travel teams are for players ages 6-14 and they include the Pasadena Predators, Los Angeles Phantoms, and the Antelope Valley Heat.

The travel teams have a 6 month season (either 1st half or 2nd half of the year) and require a high commitment from the players, parents, coaches, and teammates. Surprise & Wickenburg

Hyperdrive Flag Football is a league for ages 5-17 in Surprise and Wickenburg. Hyperdrive Flag Football offers a 5 on 5, coed, NFL-themed experience, with official NFL Flag jerseys and flags for each player. The seasons last eight games, with a playoff tournament at the end.

You can register as an individual or as a team, and enjoy practices one or two times per week in the evening. The registration fee is $125 per player, which includes the jersey, flags, and insurance. The registration deadline for the winter season is January 15, and the games will start on February 5.  You will need to check their website for updates on Summer leagues.

Scottsdale

Whether you are an adult or a youth, a beginner or a pro, you can find a league or a program  to play flag football in Scottsdale, Arizona.

For adults, the City of Scottsdale offers four seasons of 8 on 8 flag football, with games played on Saturday mornings and some weeknight evenings. The spring season starts on March 30 and costs $525 per team ($575 after February 18). You can register online as a team manager or as a free agent.

The league format consists of seven regular games followed by a single-elimination tournament. Games are played at various parks in Scottsdale, such as Chaparral Park, Eldorado Park, Horizon Park and Vista del Camino Park. For youth, the City of Scottsdale also offers flag football programs for different age groups and skill levels. You can enroll your child in a recreational league, a skills clinic or a camp. The recreational league is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 14 and runs from September to November. The skills clinic is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14 and runs from January to February. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14 and runs for one week in June. All programs require a Youth Sports jersey and a one-piece belt with three flags. A junior sized leather football is used for all programs. The AZ Youth Flag Football Brigade is partnered with NFL Flag, which means you get to wear official NFL jerseys and belts, and play by the NFL rules. You can choose from three seasons: fall, winter or spring, and play in either recreational or competitive divisions. The league is open to boys and girls aged 4-12, and offers camps and tournaments throughout the year.

The league plays at Cherokee Elementary School in Scottsdale, and registration is open online at https://www.azfootballbrigade.com/azfootballbrigadenflflag. The registration fee is $175 per player, which includes the uniform, insurance and referee fees. The winter season starts in January and ends in March, with games on Saturdays. Glendale

If you want to play flag football in Arizona, you might want to check out AZ Dynamic Sports. This is a co-ed league that offers flag football for ages 5-14 in the Glendale area. Here are some details about their flag football program:

– They have three seasons per year: Winter (January 21-March 4), Spring (April 1-May 13) and Fall (September 16-October 28).
– Practices are twice a week, usually on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, depending on the coach and the parents’ preferences.

East Valley

The Queen Creek Ball Hawks are a youth flag football team that offers boys and girls teams for different age groups. They play in the Gridiron Football League, which is one of the largest and most prestigious flag football leagues in the country.

The Queen Creek Ball Hawks are more than just a sports team. They are a nonprofit organization that aims to help young athletes develop their skills, leadership, confidence and character. They have experienced coaches who teach the fundamentals of flag football and foster a positive and supportive environment. They also emphasize the importance of academic excellence, healthy lifestyles, discipline and perseverance.

The Queen Creek Ball Hawks have teams for boys and girls ages 5 to 14. They practice and play at various locations in Gilbert and Queen Creek. The Club HBHF Arizona program provides 5v5 flag football for boys, girls and coed teams, ages 5 to 14. The program also offers 7v7 football and basketball, but this summary will focus on the flag football aspect.

Club HBHF Arizona aims to inspire young athletes to be great in whatever they want to do, following the example of Kobe Bryant. The program emphasizes fun, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship. The flag football games are played on Saturdays at various locations in Gilbert, Mesa and Chandler. The registration fee is $125 per player, which includes a jersey, shorts and flags. The registration deadline for the spring season is February 28th. The season runs from March 12th to May 7th.

Arizona State University

Next Level Sports is a program that partners with college football teams to offer flag football leagues for kids from kindergarten to 7th grade. You can play with the coaches and players from your favorite college team, learn new skills, and make new friends.

One of the locations that Next Level Sports offers is in Tempe, Arizona, at Arizona State University. This is the first official season of Next Level Flag Football in Tempe, after the previous season was canceled due to COVID-19. The season will run from January 16th to March 6th, with 9 weeks of games and practices. The games are mostly on Sundays, except for two Saturdays on February 12th and March 5th.

The registration fee is $250, which includes a custom jersey, shorts, flags, and other equipment. You can also purchase optional player packs with additional merchandise, such as a hoodie, a compression shirt, or a sideline bag. Arizona State University Flag Football Club: This is a club sport for students at Arizona State University who want to play flag football competitively or recreationally. The club has both men’s and women’s teams that compete in local and national tournaments. The club also organizes pick-up games and social events for its members. Tucson

The intramural sports program at the University of Arizona has various sports options for students, faculty and staff, including flag football.

Flag football is offered in two seasons: Season A (Fall Weeks 3-8) and Season D (Spring Weeks 11-16). You can choose from different leagues, such as Open, CoRec or Greek, depending on your preference and eligibility. The minimum roster size is 7 players (8 for CoRec), and you can either create your own team or join an existing one. The games are played on the Campus REC fields, and the registration fee is $50 per team.

Sports Park Tucson has six softball/baseball fields, batting cages, volleyball courts and more. You can enjoy playing flag football on well-maintained fields with professional referees and friendly staff. You can also join other sports and activities at the park, such as kickball, cornhole, dodgeball and soccer.

The Tucson Jewish Community Center (Tucson JCC) is a community space located in central Tucson that offers a variety of sports and fitness programs for all ages and abilities.

The flag football league is open to adults 18 and older, and runs from January to March. The games are played on Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on the Tucson JCC’s outdoor turf field. The league follows NFL Flag rules, which means no tackling, blocking, or contact. Each team consists of five players on the field, with a minimum of eight players on the roster. The league fee is $500 per team, which includes jerseys, flags, referees, and trophies for the champions.
