Helena

The City of Helena Parks and Recreation Department football program is part of the Jefferson/Shelby Youth Football League (JSYFL), which has three junior and two senior divisions. Each team will play regular season games followed by playoffs and championships. The registration for the 2024 fall season will start in April. The Helena Youth Flag Football program is divided into three divisions: K/1st grade, 2nd/3rd grade, and 4th/5th grade. The players will get real jerseys and play on real football fields. NFL Flag Alabama

The league consists of an 8 game regular season and a single elimination tournament. There are four divisions: Men’s Recreational A, Men’s Recreational B, Men’s Competitive, and Women’s. The registration fee is $400 per team and covers the official’s fee for the season. ‘Under the Lights’

If you are looking for a fun, competitive, and non-contact way to play flag football in Alabama, you should check out Under the Lights Powered by Under Armour. This is a national youth flag football league for kids in 1st-8th grade, with both boys and girls of all skill levels welcome.

Under the Lights offers two options for playing flag football in Alabama: North Alabama-Coaches Passing League and North Alabama-Huntsville/Madison Under the Lights. The Coaches Passing League is a 7-on-7 format that focuses on developing passing and catching skills, while the Huntsville/Madison Under the Lights is a 5-on-5 format that follows the NFL Flag rules. ‘Over the Mountain’

If you are looking for a competitive flag football league in the Birmingham area, you might want to check out the Over The Mountain (OTM) Competitive Flag League. This league is open to teams from different communities and cities, such as Hoover, Alabaster, Gardendale, Helena, Homewood, Moody, Mountain Brook, Tuscaloosa, Trussville and Vestavia.

You can register your team online or by filling out a form and emailing it to Brent Solberg, the Recreation Programs Supervisor. The registration deadline is September 1st and the cost is $300 per team. The league offers divisions for different grades and ages, from 2nd grade (7U) to 7th/8th grade (12U/13U).

The games are played on Saturdays at various locations. The division winners will get a free bid to the Southeast Flag Football Tournament in November, where they can compete with other teams from Alabama and other states. NFL Flag Alabama

NFL FLAG Alabama is the official flag football program of the NFL. NFL FLAG Alabama is a statewide league that offers opportunities for boys and girls of all skill levels to learn and enjoy the game of flag football. You can join one of the many local leagues across the state, or start your own with the help of NFL FLAG Alabama.

NFL FLAG Alabama is managed by NFL FLAG, in partnership with and the Alabama High School Athletic Association. The league is committed to creating innovative ways to ensure youth in the state can play this great game that we love. The registration for the spring season is now open. You can register online or contact your local league coordinator for more details. The registration fee varies depending on the location and program, but it includes an official NFL FLAG reversible jersey and flag belt. Eastern Shore

The Eastern Shore Flag Football league  offers coed, boys and girls divisions for ages 5 to 14, backed by NFL Flag and its resources. You can learn and master the skills of football without the physical contact of tackle football, and enjoy a competitive environment with other teams.

Eastern Shore Flag Football has two seasons: spring and fall. The spring season runs from March to May, and the fall season runs from September to November. The registration fee is $150 per player, which includes a reversible NFL jersey, flag belt, mouthpiece, and insurance. The games are played at Lott Park in Daphne, Alabama, on Saturdays. Each team has one practice per week, usually on weekdays.
