The program runs in the fall season, from September to November. The registration for the program is usually open from July to August. The registration fee is $65 per player, which includes a jersey, a belt, and a mouth guard. The registration is made via the RecDesk System, which requires creating an account. You can find more information and register here: https://cantonparksandrec.com/recreation/fall-nfl-flag-football-cheer/

The program is divided into four age divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-13. Each division has its own schedule and location. The games are played on Saturdays at various fields in Canton, such as Weis Park, Arboretum Park, Spiker Park, or Edward “Peel” Coleman Community Center. The games are officiated by trained referees and supervised by Canton Parks & Recreation staff.

The program also offers a cheerleading option for kids who want to cheer for their teams. The cheerleaders learn cheers, chants, and routines from experienced coaches and perform at the games. The cheerleading option has the same registration fee and process as the flag football option.

If you have any questions about the Youth NFL Flag Football program or need assistance with the registration, you can contact Erin Thompson at erin.thompson@cantonohio.gov or call 330-438-4691.
