If you are a high school student athlete who loves playing flag football and wants to pursue it at the college level, you might be interested in learning about the opportunities for women’s flag football scholarships in the US.  According to the NCSA, there are currently 24 colleges that offer women’s flag football programs, of which 20 are NAIA schools and 4 are junior colleges. These programs provide a chance for talented players to receive a partially subsidized education while competing in their favorite sport. However, getting recruited by these programs is not easy, as there are many factors that coaches consider when evaluating potential recruits, such as academic performance, athletic skills, character, leadership and more.

To increase your chances of getting noticed by college coaches, you need to create a strong athletic profile that showcases your achievements, stats, videos and personal information. You also need to research the schools that match your preferences, goals and qualifications, and reach out to them with your interest and inquiries. You can use the NCSA website to find the contact information of the coaches and the details of the programs for each school.

One of the states that has women’s flag football programs is West Virginia. However, according to the NCSA website, there are currently no colleges offering women’s flag football scholarships in West Virginia. This means that if you want to play flag football in college, you will have to look for opportunities in other states. Some of the nearby states that have women’s flag football programs are Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky.
