Youth Flag Football

Youth flag football is open to boys and girls ages 5-15. The season runs from December to February, with practices starting in the first week of December and games starting in the first week of January. Each team plays 6-8 games in the season. A mouthpiece is required and a uniform shirt is provided. The registration fee is $10 for residents and $40 for non-residents.

There are four locations where youth flag football is offered: Governors Park on Daniel Island, Bayview Soccer Complex on James Island, Ackerman Park on the Peninsula, and West Ashley. Adult Flag Football

Adult flag football is open to men and women ages 18 and older. The season runs from September to November, with team registration from July 12-27 and player registration from July 12-September 11. Each team plays eight regular season games and then playoffs. The registration fee is $300 per team plus a $100 refundable bond and $25 referee fees per game. Non-residents pay an additional $30 fee.

There are three levels of play: Competitive (D1), Intermediate (D2) and Recreational (D3). Games are played at Harmon Field or Forest Park on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. USC

One of the places where you can play flag football is at the University of South Carolina, where they offer a variety of programs for students, faculty, staff and alumni. Here are some of the details about their flag football offerings:

There are different leagues for men, women and coed, as well as different skill levels. The league runs for six regular season games, followed by a single elimination tournament that will crown the league champion. The games are played at the Tyger River Park in Duncan, SC, on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. The registration fee is $350 per team, which includes referee fees and equipment. The registration deadline is January 31st, and the season starts on February 7th.

Columbia

SOAR Columbia is a non-profit organization that offers youth flag football leagues for boys and girls ages 5 to 14 in Columbia, South Carolina.

SOAR Columbia’s youth flag football program is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of the game, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and foster a positive environment for physical and spiritual growth. The program is open to players of all skill levels and backgrounds, and no tryouts are required.

West Columbia

The White Knoll Youth Football organization offers flag football programs for boys and girls from kindergarten to eighth grade.
