Statewide

If you are looking for a fun and competitive way to play flag football in Nevada, you should check out the NCSAA Sports website. NCSAA Sports is a non-profit organization that provides athletic opportunities for students in grades K-8 who attend charter, private, or home schools. They offer various sports throughout the year, including boy’s and girl’s flag football in the fall season.

NCSAA Sports has four regions in Nevada: Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast. Each region has different schools that participate in the league. You can find the list of schools on their website . If your school is not listed, you can still join the league by contacting NCSAA Sports and registering as an independent team.

The registration for the fall season of flag football will open in August. The cost of registration is $125 per team for elementary grades (K-5) and $150 per team for middle school grades (6-8). The registration fee includes a 10-game regular season, playoffs, and championships. The games are played on Saturdays at various locations across the state.

The rules of flag football are similar to tackle football, except that players wear flags instead of pads and helmets. The game is played on a smaller field with five players on each side. The game consists of two 20-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. The objective is to score touchdowns by advancing the ball across the opponent’s goal line.

The team is open to boys and girls who want to learn and improve their flag football skills, while also developing their academic and leadership potential. National Youth Sports Nevada (NYS): This is a non-profit organization that offers recreational sports programs for kids aged 3 to 16 in various locations across Nevada. Nevada Police & Fire Games: This is an annual event that brings together police officers, firefighters, and other public safety personnel from across the state and beyond to compete in various sports, including flag football.

The flag football tournament is open to men and women of all skill levels, and it follows the rules of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). The games are played on a 60-yard field with two 20-minute halves and a 5-minute halftime. Teams can have up to 15 players on their roster, but only seven players on the field at a time. There are no blocking or tackling allowed, and players must remove one of the two flags attached to the belt of the ball carrier to stop the play.

Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA): NIAA is the governing body of high school sports in Nevada. NIAA sanctions flag football as a varsity sport for girls in the winter season (January to February). NIAA has two classifications for flag football: 5A (larger schools) and 4A (smaller schools). Each classification has four regions: Northern, Southern Desert, Southern Mountain and Southern Nevada. The teams compete in regular season games and regional playoffs to qualify for the state championship. The games are played according to the NIAA Flag Football Rules Manual. Tournaments

FFWCT has a ranking system that awards points to teams based on their performance in the tournaments. FFWCT also has a championship series that culminates in the Battle Orlando, which is the largest flag football event in the world. A third way to play flag football in Nevada is to join a pickup game. Pickup games are informal and spontaneous games that are organized by individuals or groups of players. Pickup games do not have any official rules, fees or schedules. Pickup games are usually open to anyone who wants to play, regardless of age, gender or skill level. North Las Vegas

If you are looking for a place to play flag football in North Las Vegas, you might want to check out the i9 Sports venue at Aviary Park on Sunday. This venue offers youth sports programs for boys and girls ages 4-14, including flag football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. The programs are designed to teach kids the fundamentals of the sport, as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.

Bob Miller Middle School Flag Football Program

One of the best places to start your flag football journey is at Bob Miller Middle School, located at 2400 Cozy Hill Circle, Henderson NV 89052. The school offers flag football programs for both boys and girls in grades 6-8. The programs are designed to teach students the fundamentals of the game, develop their physical fitness and teamwork skills, and foster a positive attitude and sportsmanship.

The boys flag football program runs from August to October, while the girls flag football program runs from January to March. The teams practice after school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and compete against other middle schools in the Clark County School District on Wednesdays and Fridays. The registration fee is $75 per student, which covers the cost of uniforms, equipment and transportation. Henderson Flag Football League

If you are looking for a more competitive and recreational flag football experience, you might want to check out the Henderson Flag Football League (HFFL). The HFFL is a co-ed adult league that welcomes players of all skill levels who are 18 years or older. The league plays 8-on-8 non-contact flag football with modified NFL rules.

The HFFL operates year-round with four seasons: spring (March-May), summer (June-August), fall (September-November) and winter (December-February). Each season consists of eight regular season games and two playoff games. The games are played on Saturdays at various locations in Henderson, such as Heritage Park, Arroyo Grande Sports Complex and Russell Road Recreation Complex.

The registration fee is $65 per player or $650 per team, which includes jerseys, flags, referees and trophies. To register, players need to fill out an online form and pay online or in person. Teams can have up to 15 players on their roster, but only eight can play on the field at a time. Free agents can also sign up and be assigned to a team.

– HFFL has six divisions based on the age of the player as of January 1, 2024: Peewee (ages 5-6), Bandit (ages 7-8), Gremlin (ages 9-10), Junior (ages 11-12), Senior (ages 13-14) and Varsity (ages 15-17). The adult division is for players 18 and older.
– HFFL has two types of divisions: Rec and Open. The Rec division is for players who want to be assigned to a team by the league. The Open division is for full teams that have their own coach and roster. The Varsity and Adult divisions are only open to full teams.
– HFFL plays its games at Heritage Park in Henderson, Nevada. The games are usually on Saturdays, with some weekday games depending on the number of teams and field availability.

 

 

Green Valley Flag Football Association

Another option for flag football enthusiasts is the Green Valley Flag Football Association (GVFFA). The GVFFA is a youth league that serves boys and girls from kindergarten to eighth grade in the Green Valley area of Henderson and surrounding communities. The GVFFA aims to provide a fun and safe environment for kids to learn and play flag football while developing their character and leadership skills.

The GVFFA runs two seasons: fall (September-November) and spring (March-May). Each season consists of six regular season games and one playoff game. The games are played on Sundays at Green Valley High School or Coronado High School. The league follows NFL Flag rules with some modifications for different age groups.

Henderson Flag Football Association (HFFA): HFFA is a non-profit organization that provides flag football programs for youth and adults in Henderson and surrounding areas. HFFA has two main programs: NFL Flag and HFFA Adult League. NFL Flag is a youth program that follows the rules and guidelines of the National Football League (NFL). It is open to boys and girls ages 5-17, who are divided into five age divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-14, and 15-17.

NFL Flag runs two seasons: spring and fall. Each season consists of eight regular season games and playoffs. The games are played on Saturdays at Heritage Park in Henderson. The registration fee for each season is $125 per player, which includes NFL Flag jersey, flag belt, insurance, referees, field rental, trophies, and awards.

HFFA Adult League is an adult program that follows the rules and guidelines of the International Flag Football Federation (IFFF). It is open to men and women ages 18 and up, who are divided into four divisions: competitive A/B/C/D. HFFA Adult League runs year-round, with four seasons: winter/spring/summer/fall. Each season consists of eight regular season games and playoffs. The games are played on Sundays at Heritage Park in Henderson. which includes insurance, referees, field rental, trophies, and awards.

Under the Lights Powered by Under Armour. This is a national youth flag football league for kids in 1st-8th grade, with the emphasis on promoting confidence building and skill development for both boys and girls of all levels.

The registration fee includes an Under Armour game shirt and shorts for each player, as well as a Under the Lights football. Flag belts are provided by the league for games only. You don’t need to find a team sponsor to join the league, and you can enjoy access to Under Armour apparel through discount shopping.

Under the Lights also follows safety guidelines  such as requiring players to wear mouthguards and pocketless shorts, and encouraging hand washing and social distancing. If you have any symptoms of fever, body aches, chills or respiratory issues, please stay home until you are symptom free for 24 hours.

Gonyfl: This is the largest youth flag football league in Nevada, with over 10,000 players and 800 teams. Sin City Classic Flag Football is a part of the Sin City Classic Sports Festival, the largest annual LGBTQ+ sporting event in the world. The festival hosts over 20 different sports competitions in Las Vegas every January, attracting thousands of athletes and spectators from around the globe. The flag football competition is open to men’s+, women’s+ and co-ed teams of all skill levels.

The festival takes place from January 13th to January 16th, with games on Saturday and Sunday at various locations in Las Vegas.
