Next Level Flag Football in MONTANA: A Fun and Safe Way to Play

If you are looking for a youth flag football program that is fun, safe, and well-organized, you might want to check out Next Level Flag Football. Next Level Flag Football is a program that operates in over 70 locations across the US, offering flag football for kids from kindergarten to 8th grade. The program was founded in 2010 by local neighborhood kids who wanted to play flag football on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Since then, it has grown to partner with many prominent high schools, community colleges, and universities, where the coaches and players serve as mentors and role models for the young participants.

Next Level Flag Football is different from other flag football programs in several ways. First, it is a non-contact sport, which means there is no tackling, blocking, or hitting. This reduces the risk of injuries and concussions, and allows players of all sizes and skill levels to enjoy the game. Second, it is a 5 versus 5 game, which means each player gets more touches on the ball and more opportunities to make plays. The field is also smaller, which makes the game faster and more exciting. Third, it is a coach-led program, which means each team is coached by a high school or college coach who teaches the fundamentals of the game and instills positive values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.

Next Level Flag Football has a winter season that runs from January to March, with games on Sundays. Each game consists of a 45-minute practice followed by a 45-minute game. The program also offers girls-only flag football at some locations, as well as 7 versus 7 divisions for 7th and 8th graders who want to prepare for high school passing leagues. The program fees include a custom jersey, shorts, flags, and other equipment. Players can also purchase optional player packs that include items such as receiver gloves, hoodies, compression shirts, and tights.

If you are interested in joining Next Level Flag Football or learning more about the program, you can visit their website at https://www.nextlevelsports.com/Default.aspx?tabid=316478. There you can find a list of locations near you, register online, view the game schedule, and contact the program staff. Next Level Flag Football is a great way to have fun, make friends, and learn the game of football in a safe and supportive environment.

NCAA

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has recently announced that women’s flag football will become an emerging sport for college athletics starting in 2024. This means that more colleges and universities will be able to offer scholarships and sponsor varsity teams for women’s flag football. The NCAA has partnered with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and NFL FLAG to develop the sport and create opportunities for female athletes. If you are interested in playing women’s flag football at the college level, you can visit the NCAA website at https://www.ncaa.org/ or the NAIA website at https://www.naia.org/ to find out more about eligibility, recruiting, and scholarships.

How the NCAA is Supporting Flag Football in Montana

Flag football is a popular sport in Montana, especially among high school students who want to play football without the risk of injuries. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has been supporting flag football programs in Montana for several years, and has recently announced some exciting future plans.

One of the NCAA’s initiatives is to provide grants to high schools that want to start or expand their flag football teams. The grants can be used for equipment, uniforms, coaching, travel, and other expenses. The NCAA hopes that by increasing the accessibility and affordability of flag football, more students will participate and develop their skills, fitness, and teamwork.

Another initiative is to create more opportunities for flag football players to compete at the collegiate level. The NCAA has been working with the Montana University System to establish flag football as a varsity sport for women. The NCAA believes that flag football can provide a pathway for female athletes to pursue higher education and scholarships, as well as to promote gender equity and diversity in sports.

The NCAA also plans to host a national flag football championship in Montana in 2024. The championship will feature the best teams from across the country, as well as showcase the talent and passion of Montana’s flag football players. The championship will be held at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, which is also the home of the Montana Grizzlies, one of the most successful teams in FCS football history.

The Montana Grizzlies have won two FCS national titles, in 1995 and 2001, and have made 27 appearances in the FCS playoffs, more than any other team. They have also produced several notable players who have gone on to play in the NFL, such as Dave Dickenson, Marc Mariani, Colt Anderson, and Brock Coyle.

The NCAA hopes that by hosting the flag football championship in Montana, it will inspire more young people to follow in the footsteps of the Grizzlies and pursue their dreams of playing football at a high level. The NCAA also hopes that by supporting flag football in Montana, it will contribute to the growth and development of the sport nationwide.
