NFL FLAG Maryland

NFL FLAG Maryland https://www.nffleagues.com/maryland  is the official website of the NFL FLAG program in Maryland. NFL FLAG is the NFL’s official flag football league and the only one that provides youth athletes with official NFL-branded team gear. NFL FLAG Maryland offers flag football leagues for boys and girls ages 5-17 in various locations across the state, such as Baltimore, Annapolis, Frederick, Rockville and more. The leagues are divided into four age divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-11 and 12-14. The leagues run in the spring and fall seasons, with each season lasting about 8 weeks. The registration fee for each season is $175 per player, which includes an NFL FLAG reversible jersey, flag belt and insurance.

Koa Sports Flag Football

Koa Sports  is a non-profit organization that aims to shape kids’ lives through sports. Koa Sports offers various sports programs for kids interested in flag football in Maryland. Koa Sports has spring and fall boys flag football leagues for grades K-8, as well as clinics and day camps. The leagues are divided into three age divisions: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. The leagues run from March to June in the spring and from September to November in the fall, with each season consisting of 8 games plus playoffs. The registration fee for each season is $199 per player, which includes a Koa Sports jersey, flag belt and insurance.

Mid Atlantic Flag Football League

The Mid Atlantic Flag Football League (MAFFL)] is a competitive adult flag football league that operates in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. MAFFL has both men’s and co-ed divisions, with different skill levels ranging from recreational to elite. MAFFL runs four seasons per year: winter, spring, summer and fall, with each season lasting about 10 weeks. The registration fee for each season varies depending on the division and location, but it typically ranges from $75 to $100 per player or $750 to $1000 per team, which includes a MAFFL jersey, flag belt and insurance.

You might want to check out the flag football leagues offered by the Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation. The leagues are open to adults (18 and older) of all skill levels, and are divided into three categories: men’s, women’s, and co-ed. The leagues run from September to November, with games played on weekday evenings or weekends at various locations throughout the county. The registration fee is $450 per team, which includes 10 regular season games, playoffs, referees, field rental, and equipment. Teams can register online or in person at the Division of Parks and Recreation office.

Smyrna

If you are looking for a fun and exciting way to introduce your kids to the sport of football, you might want to check out the Smyrna Youth Football League (SMYFFL). SMYFFL is a non-profit organization that offers flag football programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 14 in the Smyrna, Georgia area. SMYFFL has been operating since 2012, and has grown to over 600 players and 60 teams in six different age divisions. Anne Arundel County

If you are looking for a fun and competitive way to play football in Anne Arundel County, you might want to check out the adult flag football program offered by the county government. The program is open to anyone who is 18 years old or older, and it has two divisions: 4-man and 8-man. Here is some information about the program, based on the official website:

The BCFFL is a co-ed league that offers different divisions for players of all skill levels and ages. Whether you are a beginner or a veteran, you can find a team that suits your style and goals. The BCFFL was founded in 2008 by a group of friends who wanted to create a league that was organized, affordable and enjoyable. Since then, the league has grown to over 40 teams and hundreds of players who participate in the spring and fall seasons. The games are played on Sundays at various locations in Baltimore County, such as Catonsville High School, Lansdowne High School and Randallstown High School.

The BCFFL follows the rules of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), which are designed to promote fair play, safety and sportsmanship. The league also provides referees, equipment, jerseys and trophies for the champions. The registration fee is $75 per player, which covers the cost of the league operations and insurance.

Lusby

The Lusby Flag Football League is open to adults of all skill levels who want to play flag football in a friendly and organized environment. Here’s what you need to know about the league and how to join.

The Lusby Flag Football League is a co-ed league that plays on Sundays from September to November at the Southern Community Center in Lusby, Maryland. The league follows the NFL Flag Football rules, which means no tackling, blocking, or contact. Each team has 8 players on the field, with at least 2 females. The games are 40 minutes long, with two 20-minute halves and a 5-minute halftime.

The league is divided into two divisions: competitive and recreational. The competitive division is for teams that want to play at a higher level and compete for the championship trophy. The recreational division is for teams that want to have fun and socialize with other players. Both divisions have playoffs at the end of the season, where the top teams from each division face off for bragging rights.

 YMCA’s of  Maryland

Flag football is a sport where, instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag or flag belt from the ball carrier to end a down . Flag football is popular among people of all ages and genders, and it has been recognized as a potential Olympic sport for 2028 .

One of the best places to learn and play flag football is at the Y in Maryland. The Y offers flag football programs for youth ages 5-14, as well as adult leagues for ages 18 and up. Girls Flag Football in Maryland

One of the events that showcases the excitement and diversity of flag football is the Girls Flag Football Championship, hosted by the Baltimore Ravens. This event is part of the Ravens RISE program, which aims to support youth and high school football in Maryland. The Girls Flag Football Championship is open to girls in grades 6-8 who want to compete in a 5-on-5 flag football tournament. The event also features a clinic where girls can learn the fundamentals of flag football from Ravens players and coaches.

The Girls Flag Football Championship started in 2021 as a way to promote girls’ participation and empowerment in football. The inaugural event was held on April 17, 2021 at Western Regional Park in Howard County, Maryland. Eight teams from different schools and organizations participated in the tournament, which was won by the Howard County Hurricanes. The event also included a clinic where girls learned skills such as passing, catching, route running, flag pulling, and defensive positioning.

The Girls Flag Football Championship  takes place at Western Regional Park. Registration is open until March 18 and is limited to 16 teams. Each team must have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 10 players. Each team must also have an adult coach who is responsible for supervising and instructing the players. The registration fee is $100 per team, which includes jerseys, flags, and lunch for each player. The tournament format will be round-robin followed by single-elimination playoffs. The winning team will receive a trophy and medals, as well as an invitation to attend a Ravens home game.
