LA Prospects Flag Football Association

The LA Prospects Flag Football Association is a flag football program that aims to promote physical activity and character development among youth in Louisiana. They offer flag football leagues for boys and girls from kindergarten to 8th grade, as well as tournaments, camps and clinics. They also have a referee program for teens who want to learn how to officiate games.

LA Prospects Flag Football Association operates in Gonzales, Louisiana, which is about 20 miles south of Baton Rouge. They have two seasons per year: spring (March-May) and fall (September-November). The registration fee is $125 per player, which includes a jersey, shorts, flags and insurance. The games are played on Saturdays at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center.

NFL Flag Foothills (La Canada, La Crescenta-Montrose and Glendale)

NFL Flag Foothills is the only official NFL Flag Football league for kids in the La Canada, La Crescenta-Montrose and Glendale area. NFL Flag Football is a program sponsored by the National Football League (NFL) that provides kids with the opportunity to learn and play flag football in a fun and safe environment.

NFL Flag Foothills offers flag football leagues for boys and girls from 5 to 14 years old, as well as tournaments and camps. They have four seasons per year: winter (January-March), spring (April-June), summer (July-August) and fall (September-December). The registration fee is $195 per player, which includes a reversible NFL jersey, flags, insurance and a participation award. The games are played on Sundays at La Canada High School.

America’s Flag Football League (Broussard, Church Point and Lafayette)

If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly and exciting way to enjoy the great sport of flag football in Louisiana, you should check these guys out . This is a co-ed league for K-12th grade players, with locations in Broussard, Church Point and Lafayette. America’s Flag Football League offers a safe, non-contact and music-filled environment for kids to learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their skills and have a blast with their friends. You can register online for the spring season, which starts in March 2023, and join one of the teams or create your own. You can also follow the league on Facebook for updates, news and videos. America’s Flag Football League is affiliated with the American Flag Football League, which is a national organization that hosts tournaments and showcases for elite flag football players. GRADES K-1/2

5v5 is designed for the youngest of players. With fewer players on the field there are more eyes on each player, ensuring safety

GRADES 3/4 & 5/6

As players get older, we  progress  to what they would see in a junior high or high school setting. The added player opens the game up for a more passing, but maintains the ability to run.

GRADES 7/8 & 9-12

7v7 gives the ultimate competitive experience to get players ready for high school football. This is a pass-only league that is designed to be very close to that of the high school game.

PLAYNOLA (New Orleans)

Baton Rouge

If you are looking for a fun and healthy way to spend your Sundays this fall, you might want to check out the flag football program offered by the West Baton Rouge Parish Parks and Recreation department.  The flag football program is open to boys and girls of all skill levels, ages 5 to 14. The program aims to teach the participants the basics of football, such as passing, catching, running, and defending, as well as teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. The program also provides an opportunity for physical activity, social interaction, and fun.

The registration fee for the flag football program is $50 per child, which includes a jersey and flags. The registration deadline is September 1 and you can register online at https://www.wbrparish.org/496/Flag-Football or in person at the Parks and Recreation office located at 749 N. Jefferson Ave., Port Allen.

The games will begin on October 1, 2023 and will be played on Sunday afternoons at the WBR Soccer Complex located at 3553 Rosedale Rd., Port Allen, LA 70767. The games will follow the NFL Flag Football rules and regulations. The games will be officiated by certified referees and supervised by Parks and Recreation staff.

You can also check out BREC Football, another  flag football program in Baton Rouge. BREC Football is a program offered by the Recreation and Park Commission for East Baton Rouge Parish. BREC’s mission is to provide quality parks and recreational opportunities for all residents of East Baton Rouge Parish.

You can register online or in person, and you will receive all the information you need about schedules, rules, locations and more. You will also get access to quality fields, equipment and officials. And most importantly, you will have a blast playing with your friends and making new ones!

Lafayette

Are you ready for some football? CSA has you covered with two awesome options: flag football and tackle football! Whether you want to play for fun or compete at a higher level, CSA has a league for you. Here’s what you need to know about each program:

Flag Football 
Flag football is a great way to enjoy the game of football without the physical contact. It’s perfect for kids who are new to the sport or who prefer a more recreational style of play. Flag football is open to children ages 5-16, and they are divided into different age groups:

U5/6, U7/8, and U9/10.

The games are expected to be played at Beaullieu Park on weekdays, so you don’t have to worry about weekend conflicts. The cost for flag football is only $80 per player, and CSA provides the jerseys and flags for each team. How cool is that?

Tackle Football
If you’re looking for a more competitive and challenging experience, tackle football is the way to go. Tackle football is open to children ages 9-13, and they are divided into four categories based on age and weight:

Niner, Mite, Junior, and Senior.

The games are played throughout the parish, so you’ll get to face off against different teams and players. The cost for tackle football is also $80 per player, and CSA provides the jerseys for each team. You’ll need to bring your own equipment, though, such as mouthpiece, cleats, practice jersey, black football pants and pant pads, helmet, and shoulder pads. Don’t forget that there is a mandatory pre-season conditioning program before the teams are formed. This will help you get in shape and ready for the season.

    • Carencro Sports Complex runs a youth flag football league during the Winter. It is available to children aged 7 years and older, and seasons consist of 5 games followed by playoffs. The games are played indoors at 3607 NW Evangeline Throughway, Carencro, LA

 

 

St. John Parish

This youth flag football program is designed for young people between 5 and 14 years old. It helps them learn the basic and advanced skills of the sport in a fun and engaging way. The program follows the NFL FLAG rules and offers different formats of play: 5-on-5, 6-on-6, and 7-on-7. The program also promotes sportsmanship and fair play among the participants.

The coaches are volunteers who dedicate their time and knowledge to help the young players grow and improve. They create a safe and positive environment for everyone involved. They also prepare the players for future opportunities in high school, college, or even professional leagues.

The registration for the flag football program is open from June to August. The season runs mainly from August to October.
