Topeka

 

Topeka Flag Football League (TFFL):

This is the largest and longest-running flag football league in Topeka, offering both adult and youth divisions. The adult division has four skill levels: A (competitive), B (semi-competitive), C (recreational) and D (beginner). The youth division has three age groups: 6-8, 9-11 and 12-14. The TFFL plays on Sundays at various fields in Topeka, such as Hummer Sports Park, Shawnee North Community Center and Lake Shawnee.

The registration fee is $50 per player for adults and $40 per player for youth. The registration deadline for the fall season is August 15th and for the spring season is March 15th. Topeka YMCA Flag Football:

This is a youth flag football program offered by the Topeka YMCA, which aims to teach the fundamentals of the sport, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and foster healthy lifestyles. The program is open to boys and girls ages 4-14, with four age divisions: 4-5, 6-7, 8-10 and 11-14. The program runs for eight weeks in the fall (September-November) and in the spring (April-June), with one practice per week and one game per week on Saturdays. The games are played at various YMCA locations in Topeka, such as Southwest YMCA, North YMCA and Downtown YMCA.

The registration fee is $55 for YMCA members and $75 for non-members. The registration deadline for the fall season is August 31st and for the spring season is March 31st. Wichita

Wichita also has a variety of options for flag football lovers, such as:

Wichita Flag Football League (WFFL):

This is an adult flag football league that offers both men’s and co-ed divisions. The men’s division has three skill levels: A (competitive), B (semi-competitive) and C (recreational). The co-ed division has two skill levels: A (competitive) and B (recreational). The WFFL plays on Sundays at various fields in Wichita, such as South Lakes Sports Complex, Stryker Sports Complex and Cessna Stadium.

The registration fee is $60 per player for men’s division and $50 per player for co-ed division. The registration deadline for the fall season is August 22nd and for the spring season is March 22nd. Kansas City Football and Cheerleading (KCFC)

formerly known as the Football & Cheerleading Club of Johnson County (FCCJC)  they  has been providing programs in Kansas City areas for over 30 years.

Football teams and their cheer squads participate from the following high school areas throughout the KC area:

Blue Valley, Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Northwest, Blue Valley Southwest, Shawnee Mission East, Shawnee Mission North, Blue Valley West, Gardner-Edgerton, Kearney,  Olathe East, Olathe North, Olathe Northwest, Olathe South, Olathe West, Platte County, Savannah, St. Joseph,  Shawnee Mission Northwest, Shawnee Mission South, Shawnee Mission West, Smithville, Liberty, Liberty North, and Spring Hill.

Games

  • Tackle games are played at Heritage Park, the Savannah Youth Complex and a number of high schools in the Northland.
  • Flag games are played at the Heritage Park Football Complex, as well as school district facilities.
  • Certified  Trainers are on-site for game days.
  • A sportsmanship committee is on duty during all games to oversee any issues with coaches, spectators or players.
Programs
  • Teams/squads are formed by grade and high school area.
  • All participants play a minimum number of plays per half in tackle and flag programs.
  • There are restrictions on the number of practices  per week
  • Over 80 teams participate.
  • Spring and fall flag programs are available to grades K-8; the fall tackle program is for grades 3-8.
  • A certification program for coaches includes training clinics and other opportunities through our alliance with USA Football.

Financial Assistance

KCFC might offer financial assistance to those unable to afford to pay fees. Contact them directly to apply.

 

REGISTRATION OPENS: January 1st, 2024

The spring flag football season is for participants in Kindergarten to 8th Grade. Games are played on the weekends, primarily at Heritage Football Park Complex. Shawnee Mission and Heritage Park Soccer facilities might be scheduled if sufficient teams warrant. Games will be played on weekends in April and May, except for Easter and Mother’s Day.

Teams are formed by high school area. Players from the same school and grade will be placed together. If you are already associated with a team list head coaches name when registering. Flags and jerseys are included in a player’s registration fee.

 

CHEERLEADING INFORMATION

Registration begins January 1, 2024

On-line registration begins January 1  and anyone registering after June 1 will be accepted only based on availability.  The registration fee must be paid by July 31st.


The Cheerleading Program of KCFC is offered for kindergarten through 8th grade. Squads are formed by high school area and cheer for fall football teams. Games are played at Heritage Park Football Complex, school district and private facilities in Johnson County (KS) school districts and fields at Northland locations (Kearney, Liberty, Platte County, Smithville, St. Joseph and Savannah), as available.


Junior Cheerleading Program is available to youth who will be in Kindergarten through 3rd grade in the coming school year.

 The “Senior” Cheerleading Program is available to 4th through 7th graders.

Uniforms must be purchased by the parent/guardian. Cost for uniforms vary, depending on the high school area.  The basic uniform includes skirt, briefs and top.

 

Chiefs Flag

The Chief’s flag football program offers some of the best Flag Football programs in Kansas City and make great efforts to promote and expand youth football. Chief’s Flag is a platform used to help connect parents to the best Flag Football programs the Chiefs area has to offer. It’s the only football program where players wear official Chiefs gear and get exclusive Chiefs Access. It’s a fun way for kids to learn the fundamentals of football, health & wellness.  You can find a league near you below:
